Religious School
Congregation Nishmat Am's Religious School Program intends to promote religious education in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Our program will encourage knowledge of and appreciation for the history, culture, and values of Judaism, a connection to the Jewish community, and the pursuit of Jewish practices and ideals at home, at Synagogue, and in students' lives. A link between home and school is essential to the consistency and reinforcement of the educational process, and our program actively seeks to involve parents in meaningful ways.
We take seriously the responsibility of educating young people Jewishly, and want to offer that same quality experience to youth outside of our congregation, especially to the children of unaffiliated families. It's not necessary for entering students to have attended any formal Jewish education program prior to entering religious school, no matter the age or grade. Attention will be paid to making incoming students feel comfortable and supported.
